Former AEW TNT Champion to take indefinite leave

Darby Allin will be absent from All Elite Wrestling (AEW) television programming, but this time not due to an injury. The former TNT Champion will be pursuing one of his most ambitious goals: climbing Mount Everest. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Allin has already begun his training for the feat, and the company does not expect his return for several months.

This is not Allin’s first attempt to prepare for the climb. The project was originally scheduled for last year, but a series of injuries forced him to postpone his plans. Fightful also reported that AEW plans to give Allin a significant push when he returns to television, which is not expected to happen before the spring.

Darby Allin promises to raise AEW flag on Mount Everest

Known as one of the “Pillars of AEW” and beloved by fans, Allin has earned the respect of the audience with his intense in-ring style.

His last match took place on the December 25th episode of AEW Dynamite, where he ended in a draw with Ricochet in an AEW Continental Classic bout after the time limit expired.

Beyond pro-wrestling, Allin is passionate about skating and extreme sports, having mentioned numerous times that he practices these activities at home. Now, he is focused on an achievement that demands extensive preparation, determination, and courage. Allin already has special plans for when he reaches the summit of Mount Everest: to raise an All Elite Wrestling flag at the highest point on Earth.
