Former Champion Claims They Don’t Care About Being Part of WWE’s Main Event

Karrion Kross shares his positive perspective on WWE Main Event appearances, bringing back his old theme against Tozawa while still featuring on RAW.

The wrestling business can be brutal when it comes to perceived status drops, but not everyone sees working the B-shows as a step back. Karrion Kross has taken a surprisingly mature approach to his recent shift from faction leader to Main Event competitor, offering a perspective that’s refreshingly at odds with the ego-driven nature of the business.

During a conversation with Fred Richani of TSC, Kross shared his thoughts on wrestling Akira Tozawa on WWE Main Event in London.

I got to wrestle live in London on Main Event, and that was awesome being in front of those people. I know a lot of guys, not saying any names or throwing any shade, but sometimes they feel a particular way if they’re not on the main show and if they’re on Main Event. For me, and I know Tozawa is the exact same way, it doesn’t matter what the name of the show is. It’s about the people that are there live and about giving them a piece of the greatest show on earth that they came to see.

After The Final Testament’s feud with Wyatt Sicks concluded, Kross has maintained visibility by appearing in backstage segments on Raw, particularly in scenes with AJ Styles during the latter’s program with Logan Paul. He’s also embraced nostalgia by bringing back his “Dead Silent” entrance theme for his match against Tozawa, signaling he hasn’t abandoned his roots despite the faction detour.

While many would view a move to Main Event as a demotion, Kross’s willingness to embrace the opportunity might actually be setting him up for something more substantial.
