Former Universal Champion’s son open to WWE career after talks with Triple H

Bill Goldberg’s son Gage has indicated interest in potentially joining WWE, revealing that an offer from Chief Content Officer Triple H remains on the table.

The 18-year-old football player at the University of Colorado shared his thoughts during an exclusive interview with SportsKeeda Wrestling’s Senior Editor Bill Apter.

The younger Goldberg, who first appeared on WWE programming in 2016 at age 10, expressed admiration for Triple H while discussing his future prospects. His potential entry into professional wrestling coincides with reports of his father’s planned retirement from in-ring competition in 2025.

Maven disputes Goldberg’s claims about Regal incident

In related news, former WWE superstar Maven Huffman has challenged Bill Goldberg’s version of events regarding a controversial 1998 WCW match with William Regal. Speaking to WSI’s James Romero, Maven addressed Goldberg’s previous statements about the February 9, 1998, bout on WCW Nitro.

“Bill’s a nice guy, sweetheart of a person,” Maven told Romero. “But he lived off of this aura and he believed his own hype.”

Maven specifically contested Goldberg’s 2016 comments on The Steve Austin Show, where the former WCW Champion suggested he would have prevailed in a legitimate fight with Regal. “Take the match he had with Regal in WCW, and if you interviewed Bill he would talk about how, ‘Oh, if it was a shoot, I would have killed him.’ No, you would not have,” Maven stated.

The match between Goldberg and Regal has remained a topic of discussion in wrestling circles for over two decades, with Goldberg previously suggesting on Austin’s podcast that Regal had attempted to cause him harm during their encounter.
