Former WWE champion continues to tease heartbreaking split from long-term partner; they were together for 9 years and even feuded with The Bloodline!

Former WWE Tag Team Champions Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano have seen a lot of twists and turns in their friendship over the years. Both men have been best of friends and fierce rivals in the past, and shades of a massive split of their tag team are being featured on the blue brand lately.

Over the past few months, DIY has not scored a lot of victories on WWE SmackDown. With the introduction of the Motor City Machine Guns on the blue brand, both men have been forced to take a step backward, keeping them away from the WWE Tag Team Championship, which has been a massive point of frustration for Ciampa. There have been arguments between both men on TV, teasing their split very soon.

Both Ciampa and Gargano have been together with each other since 2015. While Ciampa unleashed a surprising attack on Gargano back in 2017, they have spent a lot of their time in the industry together as a tag team. Outside the squared circle, Ciampa also spent some time as his tag team partner’s roommate and was one of his groomsmen. With the immense friendship they have in real life, a split between them feels heartbreaking for millions around the world.

Recently, the Cleveland Cavaliers scored a thrilling victory against the Boston Celtics, thanks to the incredible performance from Donovan Mitchell. Referencing the latter’s performance in the NBA match, Ciampa took a shot at Gargano, stating that at least one ‘hometown hero’ was able to deliver.

“Well at least one hometown ‘hero’ was able to deliver in Cleveland,” wrote Ciampa

With the recent developments in their story lately, it is clear that both Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano might not be a tag team for very long. With both men seemingly splitting up very soon, a feud between them in the future is being anticipated.

Considering the past matches between both men in WWE NXT, a feud between them on the main roster would clearly be a massive attraction for the blue brand. With the Road to WrestleMania on the horizon, both men ending up having a match at the Grandest Stage of Them All is also possible. Time will tell what WWE has in store for both men in the future.
