During his time away from WWE programming, Omos ventured into Pro Wrestling NOAH. His success in Japan includes capturing the GHC Tag Team Title in his debut match, maintaining an undefeated record in the promotion.

His recent achievements in Japan, combined with his imposing physical presence, position him as a compelling surprise entrant for the February 1 premium live event. The Royal Rumble match format traditionally showcases competitors of exceptional size.

Triple H considers World Champion’s Royal Rumble status

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H faces scheduling decisions regarding World Heavyweight Champion Gunther’s participation at the Royal Rumble. The champion defends his title against Jey Uso at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25.

The timing of Gunther’s championship defense, just days before the Royal Rumble, affects his potential involvement in the premium live event. As the current World Heavyweight Champion, his role would be limited to title defenses rather than entry in the traditional 30-person match.

WWE plans to deliver a strong Royal Rumble card on February 1, with or without Gunther’s involvement on the show.
