Former WWE Champion Teases Return at WrestleMania 41
Former WWE Women’s Champion Layla hints at possible appearance at the 2025 Hall of Fame ceremony to support her LayCool partner Michelle McCool’s induction.

Layla has not appeared in WWE since her retirement in 2015, leaving fans wondering if she might return for Michelle McCool’s upcoming Hall of Fame induction. The former Women’s Champion recently addressed this possibility in an interview.
During her nearly nine-year career with WWE, Layla formed the iconic tag team LayCool with Michelle McCool. While Layla has remained away from professional wrestling since retiring a decade ago, McCool has made several appearances in WWE over recent years.
McCool will enter the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025. During a recent interview with Wrestlezona, Layla was asked if she would attend the ceremony to support her former tag team partner.
Well, for one, extremely happy for Michelle. Well deserved. Glad. It’s about time for sure. I’m not gonna say if I’m gonna be there or not gonna be there. You guys are just gonna have to watch the Hall of Fame and ask if you, you guys wanna see me there? It’s been a while since I’ve been on WWE TV. So, who knows? Who knows?

Layla expressed genuine happiness for McCool’s upcoming induction, calling it “well deserved” and “about time.” Her deliberately ambiguous response suggests fans will need to watch the Hall of Fame ceremony to discover if she makes an appearance.
This potential return would mark Layla’s first WWE appearance in a decade. McCool has continued making occasional appearances, most recently participating in the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match.
The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony traditionally takes place during WrestleMania weekend, with the Class of 2025 set to be inducted ahead of WrestleMania 41.
