Former WWE star suggests CM Punk could join Roman Reigns at Survivor Series
Former WWE star Matthew Rehwoldt suggests CM Punk could join Roman Reigns' Bloodline at Survivor Series, potentially setting up a WrestleMania 41 clash with Seth Rollins.
CM Punk might replace Seth Rollins as the fifth member of Roman Reigns’ OG Bloodline at Survivor Series: WarGames, according to Matthew Rehwoldt. The former WWE star believes this move could ignite a feud between Punk and Rollins leading to WrestleMania 41.
The potential clash between Rollins and Punk was previously planned for WrestleMania XL but didn’t materialize due to Punk’s injury.
“He [CM Punk] joins and stays. Paul Heyman calls in the favor. Punk backs up the OG Bloodline and, in the process, does something pretty nasty to takeout Bronson, which irritates the living hell out of Seth Rollins, who’s had a problem with CM Punk since the minute he showed up in WWE… CM Punk upstages Rollins, does what he refused to do, and steps in the Survivor Series match.”
CM Punk reveals desired opponents for WWE return
During an interview at ComplexCon with Peter Rosenberg, Punk shared his list of potential opponents.
“I think Chad Gable is on the top of the list. I think Bronson Reed is on the top of the list. [Ludwig] Kaiser is someone I see a lot in, GUNTHER, and I’m selfishly talking about guys that I would like to wrestle at house shows.”
Regarding John Cena, Punk added: “There’s Big Match John too, which is a guy that I don’t wanna talk about, because he’s gonna do his own thing, and if I’m a part of that, then what a fortunate career I’ve had.”
