Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Set for Steel Cage Match at Major WWE Event
WWE has announced a Steel Cage Match featuring Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed at the upcoming WWE Live Event at Madison Square Garden on December 26th. The matchup was confirmed after Rollins shared the news on his Instagram story.
The rivalry between Rollins and Reed has been heating up since Crown Jewel 2024, where Rollins secured the win. In retaliation, Reed assaulted Rollins on the November 4th episode of Monday Night RAW, prompting WWE to schedule a singles match between the two for the upcoming show on November 18th.
The rivalry between the two ignited back in August when Reed ambushed Rollins during the August 5 episode of Monday Night RAW, delivering six consecutive “Tsunami Splashes.” This brutal attack sidelined Rollins for over a month. He made his comeback on the September 30 episode of Monday Night RAW, where he interference in the Last Monster Standing Match between Reed and Braun Strowman, ultimately costing Reed the victory.
WWE is ramping up this rivalry, with a Steel Cage Match at Madison Square Garden marking a new chapter in the saga. This match is set to be one of the highlights of the WWE Live Event taking place this December at the iconic New York venue.
