The AEW status of Killswitch remains up in the air as fans patiently await a positive update on the multi-time champion. There had been some positive signs of his recovery, but his condition then worsened. Sources have now revealed an update on Killswitch’s return and plans for the future.
The former Luchasaurus was hospitalized in late September with a case of double pneumonia. He was found at home by his fiancé after collapsing and was then rushed to the hospital. Doctors determined that the 39-year-old was just days away from permanent lung damage. In early October there was talk of a one-month recovery period, but complications led to slower progress, and the AEW Original was placed on oxygen support to help with his recovery.
Killswitch has been planning his post-recovery future. A new report from Fightful Select noted that the former Judas Devlin planned to discuss the whole situation. While no timeline was given, it was noted that the California native wanted to eventually talk about what had happened.
Regarding his return to in-ring action, word is that Killswitch is nowhere near ready to be medically cleared. His last match was the Casino Gauntlet at All In on August 25.
