Kane (real name Glenn Jacobs) had real-life heat with AEW star Christian Cage. The two stars often faced each other inside the ring in singles and multi-man tag matches. They have even fought side by side in a few instances. Their last singles bout against each other took place in June 2011 on Friday Night SmackDown.
The Devil’s Favourite Demon isn’t an active wrestler right now, although he’s still under contract with WWE. His last appearance was at the 2022 SummerSlam Premium Live Event. The last time fans saw him inside the squared circle was at the 2021 men’s Royal Rumble match.
Kane and Christain had intense on-screen rivalry but their beef has some real-life aspects to it as well. During an appearance on WWE Photo Shoot, The Big Red Machine revealed that he never liked Christian. He also narrated an incident, explaining the reason behind his aversion to the current AEW star:
“I’ve never liked Christian. One time at the airport I saw him. He was like, ‘Have you had anything to eat?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, I just had a burrito,’ and he punches me in the stomach runs away. That is Christian. Anytime I had the opportunity to chokeslam Christian, I took advantage of it!”

Adam Copeland and Christain Cage found success in their early stages of WWE by running as a tag team, before going on to have an illustrious singles careers. Fan wanted to see them together as a team again when Cope joined AEW, but they feuded over the TNT Champion instead.
However, there is still hope that the fans might see a reunion between the two longtime real-life friends. Speaking in an interview with TMZ, The Rated-R superstar teased a blockbuster reunion with The Patriarch:
“But to be able to come back, run it with Christian, and do what we did, and who knows where it goes from there. I feel like at some point, a C & C tag team run should be in the cards, but you never know. Getting to do Rated FTR. I mean, it’s all bucket list things that are happening now that I cooked up while I was retired. If I was ever able to get back, this would be cool [and] this would be cool and now I’m getting to do it.”
Both the veterans have their sights set on the AEW World Championship which is currently held by Jon Moxley.
