Iyo Sky reveals her new WWE nickname after SmackDown

Iyo Sky is no longer just the ‘Genius of the Sky’! The former WWE Women’s Champion declared after this week’s SmackDown that she was now ‘Miss WarGames’.

The Japanese superstar is no stranger to WarGames matches as she’s been in a total of five. Sky competed in the very first women’s edition in 2019 and was part of the follow-up WarGames matches for NXT in 2020 and 2021 respectively.

Interestingly enough, Sky has been in both the Women’s WarGames matches on the main roster over the past couple of years and will continue her streak this year.

One glance at her resume shows that Iyo Sky can now be considered a veteran of WarGames clashes. The 34-year-old superstar is taking the moniker seriously as she seemingly gave herself a brand new nickname.

The former NXT star also reminded fans about her WarGames history, as you can view below:

“You know who am I? You can call me Miss #WarGames !!!🪖🚨”, wrote Iyo Sky.

Iyo Sky was involved in an explosive WWE SmackDown segment ahead of Survivor Series WarGames

The final SmackDown episode before the next WWE PLE certainly had several volatile moments as the company applied the finishing touches to its ongoing angles.

The blue brand’s latest installment began with the women’s teams trading barbs on the microphone while standing across each other in the ring.

Rhea Ripley, Naomi, Bianca Belair, Bayley, and Iyo Sky sent a message to the heels, with Sky promising other members that they would destroy their opponents.

Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae also joined them during the SmackDown opener with a pretty predictable response. Morgan was at her best as she insulted the babyfaces and downplayed their confidence.

The SmackDown segment ended in an obvious brawl as WWE officials intervened to separate the ten women who will battle at Survivor Series WarGames in Vancouver, Canada this Saturday.
