WWE SmackDown opened this week from Barcelona, Spain with a confrontation between United States Champion LA Knight and Jimmy Uso. Knight acknowledged the challenging Barcelona crowd while celebrating his recent championship victory over Shinsuke Nakamura.

Jimmy Uso interrupted Knight to declare his intention of challenging for the United States Championship. Solo Sikoa and The New Bloodline then emerged, with Sikoa stating that Jacob Fatu deserved a title shot instead.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis responded to the situation by scheduling a six-man tag team match. The match featured LA Knight, Jimmy Uso, and Braun Strowman facing members of The New Bloodline.

The babyface team secured victory when Strowman hit Tama Tonga with a Running Powerslam for the pinfall. Solo Sikoa initiated a post-match attack, leading to a brawl between the competitors.

Jacob Fatu targeted Strowman specifically during the chaos. Fatu hit Strowman with two Moonsaults in the middle of the ring before escalating his assault. The Samoan Werewolf then tackled Strowman through the barricade at ringside to conclude the segment.

The intensity of this confrontation between Fatu and Strowman suggests a potential singles match between the two powerhouses at WWE WrestleMania 41 next month.
