WWE legend John Cena will kick off his Farewell Tour in the inaugural episode of RAW on Netflix. Ahead of this historic event, the 16-time World Champion shared a cryptic message on social media.
The Franchise Player will wrap up his professional wrestling career with a 12-month Retirement Tour, commencing on January 6, 2025. Recently, WWE promoted the debut of RAW on Netflix as “the beginning of the end” of Cena’s career.
Today, The Cenation Leader posted a cryptic message on X (Twitter) and emphasized the importance of adaptability and the ability to course-correct. John Cena stated that skillfully navigating challenges and making necessary adjustments can significantly enhance the overall enjoyment of the journey, seemingly referencing his Farewell Tour.
“Sail smooth, right the ship, or course correct. Knowing when to do each could greatly increase the joy of the journey,” he wrote.

Former WWE star comments on John Cena’s potential heel turn before the latter’s retirement
In a recent episode of the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray suggested a storyline that could see the 47-year-old veteran target Cody Rhodes. This scenario would necessitate a heel turn from John Cena during the feud.
Responding to Ray’s comments, Nic Nemeth (FKA Dolph Ziggler) voiced his reservations regarding John Cena’s potential heel turn. The former WWE star cited potential creative limitations, financial risks, and the uncertain nature of the response from the audience.
“I think it’s dangerous. I’m [considering] all aspects. Not just the wrestling business aspect. Now, if he turns heel on Cody, beats him up and bloodies him… well, didn’t The Rock just do that last year? So you’re copying The Rock already. You’re a movie star. Okay. You got to be careful there. Also, really important, money wise, maybe, it doesn’t work. And maybe, you get the cheers and the responses at first, and then all of a sudden it’s—nah, we’re not really feeling this,” he noted.
The wrestling world wants to see The Face That Runs The Place become a record-breaking 17-time World Champion before his retirement. However, whether John Cena will capture another world title in WWE remains to be seen.
