Jon Moxley leaving 48-year-old star and his son unharmed in AEW does not make sense, says popular personality

Jon Moxley is currently one of the top heels in AEW. He has done everything in his power to embody his evil character. However, popular personality O’Shea Jackson Jr. believed he could have done a better job to make the fans dislike him even more.

At the AEW Full Gear Zero Hour pre-show, Big Boom A.J. (with Big Justice and The Rizzler) defeated Q. T. Marshall (with The Ace of Space Academy). It was a fun segment to watch and the fans enjoyed it thoroughly. However, O’Shea felt that AEW could have used the segment to add more drama and spice to the event.

O’Shea Jackson Jr. recently appeared on Konnan’s Keepin’ It 100 podcast and stated that Jon Moxley should’ve beaten up the 48-year-old star Big Boom AJ in front of his 12-year-old son to bring in more heat from the fans.

“I think the Death Riders thing, I think there’s been a couple of missed opportunities with that. WWE always gets sh*t for their celebrity work or whatever or working with influencers and they just had Big Boom AJ and Big Justice, which as far as commercializing, it’s gonna get you views. People are going to watch, whether you hate them or you love them. They’re going to watch because of these guys and we got them on the pre-show.”

O’Shea added that he would have booked the attack angle at Full Gear because the segment would have drawn tons of attention from the fans.

“Boy, I would have made every single one of those views pay $60. And then you got this evil empire building with the Death Riders. Boy, I would have had them jump Big Boom AJ in the ring in front of his son and get booed out of the building. We just had them put a bag over one of the best wrestlers to touch Earth. Their whole thing is they hate what AEW has become but then they let that slide? It doesn’t make sense. You beat up Bryan Danielson but you let these influencers come in and go out unscathed and get a victory on somebody from the roster.” [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]

What’s next for Jon Moxley?

Jon Moxley successfully defended his AEW World Championship at AEW Full Gear against Orange Cassidy but his Hangman Page, Christian Cage, and Jay White rained on his parade.

Bryan Alvarez on Bryan and Vinny Show said that AEW has planned to put Jon Moxley in a Four-Way Match against White, Cage, and Page at Worlds End 2024. However, the plans, as always, are subject to change.
