Legend of WWE Blurred and Removed from 2K24 at the Last Minute, Indicating Attempts to Erase Their History

Vince McMahon will appear in certain segments of WWE 2K24’s Showcase mode, despite not being a playable character. His inclusion and visibility differ across specific matches and segments.

Following a January lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE, McMahon and Brock Lesnar were removed as playable characters in WWE 2K24. Lesnar remains a non-playable character in Showcase and MyRise modes due to development timeline constraints.

McMahon, who was not designed to be playable in these modes, was more easily removed from the game. However, he remains visible in the WrestleMania 17 match between Steve Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. He also appears in a video package promoting the WrestleMania 35 women’s triple threat match.

Footage of McMahon in the WrestleMania 35 package is blurred, while he remains unobscured in the WrestleMania 17 match footage.

Why 2K chose to blur McMahon in one part of Showcase and not another is currently unknown at this time.
