Liv Morgan attributes her recent success as Women’s World Champion to a perspective shift during her six-month injury recovery period before returning at the Royal Rumble in January.
In an interview with The Mirror, Morgan explained how her outlook has evolved since her previous championship reign.
“I think the time off really just took me to the next level. I feel like a different human, a different performer, a different champion than I was before,” Morgan said. “I’m way more confident this time around. I’m way more sure of myself.”
Morgan emphasized that her current championship reign differs significantly from her previous title run. “Before I just felt so lucky to be champion and now I know that you guys are lucky that I’m your champion,” she stated.
The champion’s next challenge comes at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where she defends her title against former champion IYO SKY. SKY’s previous reign lasted 246 days before ending at WrestleMania XL in April.
Morgan has held the Women’s World Championship for over 200 days since winning it at WrestleMania.
