Ludwig Kaiser Addresses New Role As El Grande Americano

Ludwig Kaiser has broken his silence following the mysterious return of El Grande Americano on this week’s episode of WWE RAW.

Ludwig Kaiser Addresses New Role As El Grande Americano

The mystery surrounding the El Grande Americano persona has been solved. On the June 30, 2025, episode of WWE RAW, Ludwig Kaiser was revealed to be the new performer behind the mask, providing a significant new creative direction for the superstar following the dissolution of Imperium.

The character change was made necessary by a legitimate injury to Chad Gable, the man who originated the role. Gable is scheduled for shoulder surgery in July and was written off television following an attack by Penta El Zero Miedo on the June 23 edition of RAW. Kaiser was spotted observing that backstage assault, fueling early speculation that he might be the replacement.

WWE confirmed the switch during a backstage segment on the most recent show. As Kaiser, dressed as El Grande Americano, walked past the American Made faction, members of the group noted that he appeared “taller and thinner than usual.” This on-air acknowledgment served as the official reveal for the television audience.

In his first public comment on the matter, Kaiser took to X to address the situation with a post seemingly in character, questioning the audience’s reaction.

“Whats all the fuss about?! #LK,” wrote Ludwig Kaiser.

This development immediately casts doubt on the future of the WWE Speed Championship, which Gable held as El Grande Americano. Reports from late June indicated that Gable might be stripped of the title due to his injury. The situation also sets the stage for potential long-term storylines, including Kaiser possibly assuming leadership of the American Made faction and a built-in feud with Gable upon his eventual return.
