There has been a major update regarding Becky Lynch amid her WWE hiatus. The Man has not competed in a match since her loss to Liv Morgan on the May 27 edition of WWE RAW.
The promotion has reached a 10-year deal to bring RAW to Netflix starting on January 6, 2025. There is a huge media event scheduled to take place today at the Netflix Headquarters in California.
According to a new report from PW Insider, Becky Lynch is on the list of talents slated to appear at the Netflix event today. Triple H, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Liv Morgan, and Bianca Belair are some of the other notable names scheduled to appear at the event in Los Angeles.
Lynch’s contract with the promotion reportedly expired earlier this year. She battled Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania XL but came up short. Big Time Becks eventually captured the Women’s World Championship after Rhea Ripley was forced to relinquish the title due to injury. Lynch had a brief reign with the title before dropping it to Liv Morgan at King and Queen of the Ring.
Former WWE writer comments on Becky Lynch potentially returning to the company
Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently claimed that Becky Lynch didn’t need to return to the promotion.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s The Coach & Bro Show, available via Backstage Pass, Russo noted that Lynch didn’t need the money anymore. The veteran added that the 37-year-old could wait until WWE gave her what she wanted before returning to the ring.
“With her husband bringing home millions and millions of dollars, if Becky Lynch isn’t one of these marks that are in the ring and she’s gotta get back just for the sake of wrestling because they love wrestling so much and they love that limelight so much. If she’s not one of those people, she’s got them. She doesn’t need the money, she enjoys being at home. She’s gonna hold out till she gets what she wants.” [From 27:30 onwards]
Lynch has accomplished a lot during her career and remains very popular among wrestling fans. It will be interesting to see if she makes her return to WWE television in the weeks ahead.
