Major WWE Legend to Retire at WrestleMania 41
Rey Mysterio addresses potential retirement plans in an interview with Adrian Hernandez, expressing interest in following John Cena’s approach to announcing his final matches.

Rey Mysterio has shared his thoughts on retirement during an interview on Adrian Hernandez’s YouTube channel. The WWE Hall of Famer discussed the possibility of announcing his retirement in advance to give fans an opportunity to witness his final matches.
During the conversation, Mysterio expressed his desire to provide fans with advance notice of his retirement.
I would love to make an announcement. I would love for the fans that have grown up watching me or that have supported my career from day one to be able to say, “Hey! This is the last time I’m gonna get to see him perform. I wanna go take a look at it.” You know? So, I wanna give the opportunity to those fans that have been loyal from day one.
Mysterio mentioned studying John Cena’s current approach to retirement as a potential model for his own future announcement.
I’m kinda looking at him and trying to get that understanding of what it feels like.
At present, Mysterio has confirmed he does not plan to retire at WrestleMania 41, though he continues to assess the timing of his eventual departure from in-ring competition.
