Mercedes Moné is the reigning AEW TBS Champion and the NJPW Strong Women’s Champion. She has been a dominant performer in the company, primarily because of her partnership with Kamille. However, their alliance has come to an end.
On this week’s Dynamite, The CEO was all set to fire the former NWA World Women’s Champion. However, before she could execute her plan, The Brickhouse quit. The former Sasha Banks was livid to see this as she didn’t get the upper hand in the storyline. On the latest episode of Rampage, an unknown assailant took out Kamille backstage.
The 32-year-old was surrounded by chairs, suggesting that the attacker used weapons to hurt her. It remains to be seen how long she will be out of action, but it appears like AEW has written her off TV for now.
The CEO recently responded to this assault on X/Twitter. She wrote:
“There’s a price to pay when you mess with #Moné #AEWRampage.”
While Mercedes Moné didn’t admit to attacking her former ally, there is a huge possibility that she is the mastermind behind the assault.
Kamille called Mercedes Moné stupid and dumb
After defending her TBS Championship against Kris Statlander at Full Gear, Mercedes Moné delivered a promo on Dynamite. She praised her opponent and criticized Kamille for failing to fulfill her duties.
“At Full Gear, I showed the world how a real woman gets the job done. And Kamille, since you can’t get the job done, I want to tell you,” Moné said.
The Brickhouse didn’t give The CEO the satisfaction of firing her. She called Moné stupid and dumb before ending their alliance herself.
“Shut up! Are you stupid or are you dumb? You can’t fire me because I quit,” Kamille said. [H/T: AEW’s website]
Hopefully, fans will get to see a full-blown rivalry between the two once Kamille returns to the ring.
