Mercedes Moné’s (fka Sasha Banks) future with non-AEW promotion reportedly revealed

AEW star Mercedes Moné had a tremendous 2024. She held the AEW TBS Championship and the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship throughout the year.

Furthermore, at Wrestle Dynasty, she became the Undisputed British Women’s Champion by defeating the previous champion Mina Shirakawa in a winner-takes-all all-match. It’s safe to say that the erstwhile Sasha Banks is now a ‘belt collector.’

Interestingly, according to Corey Brennan Of Fightful.com, the CEO will be working with Revolution Pro Wrestling, one of Britain’s most popular wrestling promotions. The 32-year-old will reportedly appear in the company from time to time to defend the Undisputed British Women’s Title, which she won at the aforementioned Tokyo Dome event.

“RevPro sources confirmed to @FightfulSelect they would be working with Mercedes Mone to bring title defenses to the UK with her Undisputed British Championship win at Wrestle Dynasty,” read Brennan’s statement on X.

Mercedes Moné called Kris Statlander a wrestling soulmate

Mercedes Moné and Kris Statlander have locked horns twice in All Elite Wrestling. They battled for the first time at Full Gear 2024 and again at Worlds End 2024. Both matches were amazing. However, Statlander couldn’t defeat the CEO even once.

Nevertheless, Moné has a lot of respect for the former TBS Champion. In the latest issue of MonéMag, she praised the latter for her resistance and capabilities. Additionally, she called Statlander ‘a wrestling soulmate’.

“The praise that followed was overwhelming. Fans and peers alike hailed our match as one of the greatest women’s bouts of all time. In my heart, I knew that Kris had pushed me to be better, to think creatively, and to fight with everything I had. She’s not just a formidable opponent, but I think I’ve found another wrestling soulmate who challenges me to elevate my game,” wrote the CEO. (H/T WrestleZone)

Before joining AEW, Mercedes Moné was a WWE superstar. There she held the WWE Raw Women’s Championship an impressive five times.
