Netflix removes WWE content from its library
Netflix will confirm the removal of twenty interactive titles from its streaming library, including the WWE special “Escape The Undertaker,” featuring The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E) in an interactive story with The Undertaker.
According to The Verge, the platform will only keep four interactive productions: “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend,” “Ranveer vs. Wild with Bear Grylls,” and “You vs. Wild.” A Netflix executive confirmed that there are no new interactive projects in development.
The interactive format was introduced by Netflix in 2017, allowing viewers to make choices during the show, altering the course of the story.
WWE is continuing its partnership with Netflix for additional projects, including a documentary in production and the debut of Monday Night RAW on the platform in early 2025.
