Netflix Warns Fans Ahead of WWE RAW Premiere

Netflix is taking proactive measures to ensure a smooth streaming experience for WWE RAW’s historic move to the platform in January 2025. The streaming giant has drawn valuable insights from its recent high-profile boxing event between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, which attracted over 65 million viewers worldwide.

Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Operating Officer, addressed potential technical concerns during a recent interview with Deadline. “Our preparation for NFL and Beyoncé has taught us a lot, and we’re fully prepared and excited for WWE,” Bajaria said, highlighting the platform’s readiness for weekly live programming.

The statement comes after some viewers experienced buffering issues during the Tyson-Paul boxing match. Netflix’s engineering team received praise for their quick response to these challenges, demonstrating the platform’s ability to handle unexpected technical hurdles during live events.

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque expressed confidence in the partnership, making light of the situation by suggesting he wouldn’t mind having 65 million weekly viewers for RAW.

While specific details about the show’s duration remain undisclosed, WWE is preparing a special card for RAW’s streaming debut, featuring appearances from Roman Reigns and John Cena.
