Nic Nemeth Reveals If Planning WWE Return After TNA Partnership

Nic Nemeth addressed the newly announced WWE-TNA partnership during an appearance on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez. The TNA World Champion discussed the benefits for both companies and potential talent crossovers.

What a fantastic partnership for both sides here, because TNA up and coming WWE, this global dominant billionaire company. It’s like, here we go. We’re going to help each other out. We’re going to make it better for fans. Then behind the scenes, we’re going to make it better for both companies. What a huge win. I think it’s fantastic.

Nemeth dismissed speculation about returning to NXT while acknowledging other potential crossover opportunities:

I have no unfinished business in NXT, if that’s what you’re asking. Like, hey, wouldn’t it be cool if you went to NXT? Like, for what? I was already the champ. Can I win two championships there? Can I hold two of them up? The cool part is it does open the door for Rumble appearances, for a Raw, for a SmackDown, for an impact, a live impact on a Thursday.

Nemeth defends the TNA World Championship against Joe Hendry at Genesis.

Nic Nemeth Discusses Post-WWE Career Concerns

Nemeth revealed initial concerns about departing WWE during his Unlikely podcast appearance.

I was scared to death. I didn’t know how. I go, ‘In this bubble, I kicked a** and I don’t know anyone that was better than me.’ And it doesn’t matter that I had 9,000 losses to every two wins or whatever the hell it was. I know my job and how I’m good at it. I was very nervous to go. Maybe I’m only good with these 60 people, I don’t know.

Following his September 2023 WWE departure, Nemeth captured championships in multiple promotions, including the TNA World Championship, IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship, AAA Mega Championship, and WSW World Heavyweight Championship.
