Chelsea Green captured her first singles championship by defeating Michin in the Women’s United States Championship Tournament final at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The event took place at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York.
Green secured her spot in the championship match after a victory over Bayley earlier in the night. During the final bout, Piper Niven’s ringside interference allowed Green to execute the UnPrettyHer on Michin for the win.
Despite their ongoing on-screen conflicts, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis congratulated Green on social media following her victory.
“Maximize your minutes and run with whatever they give you. Here’s the proof,” Aldis posted on Instagram.
The championship marks Green’s first singles title achievement. Meanwhile, Michin continues her pursuit of championship gold in her WWE career.
