Paul Heyman responds after big WWE comparison to Roman Reigns; confirms his affiliation after months-long absence
Paul Heyman has been gone for a long time, even with Roman Reigns back in WWE. The legend has now spoken up after being compared to Reigns.
It was recently pointed out that Paul Heyman had been thoroughly involved in nine WrestleMania main events – a record held by Roman Reigns. The legendary manager’s presence in WWE and WrestleMania is, without a doubt, great.
However, one of those appearances was as a commentator at WrestleMania 17. Heyman said that he didn’t consider that to be being involved in the main event because he was a commentator, and that was not a main event attraction position.
He added, though, that no one else in his position could claim the same achievement. But he was glad he could acknowledge Roman Reigns for his awe-inspiring nine main events at the show.
This also confirmed his affiliation with Reigns again, after months of absence from the company after he was attacked by Solo Sikoa’s team. The legend has been gone for a long time, but for any fans who had doubts about whom Paul Heyman was supporting, there’s no room for doubt any longer.
“Thank you @dillongarland, I very much appreciate your astute observation. I must, however, not accept #WM17 as me being involved in main event simply because as a commentator, it’s not a “main event attraction position.” But who else in my position has accomplished EIGHT Mania Main Events? And I say that, only with the caveat that I get to ACKNOWLEDGE @WWERomanReigns’s astonishing NINE @WrestleMania main events!”
Paul Heyman’s loyalty to Roman Reigns has been something to behold
Heyman’s loyalty to Roman Reigns has been unquestionable in recent years, even getting attacked by The Bloodline for confirming it.
As his Wise Man, Heyman has helped the Tribal Chief in dealing with difficult situations with other stars. His absence has also been noted, with Reigns saying that his presence would have solved most of his issues.
It remains to be seen when he returns to the ring.
