Penta debut sparks backstage frustration in WWE

Penta’s WWE debut match against Chad Gable on Monday Night RAW exceeded its planned duration, leading to scheduling adjustments throughout the show. PWInsider reports several talents expressed displeasure over their segments being shortened to accommodate the extended match and post-match promo at the SAP Center in San Jose.

Despite the timing issues, WWE management expressed satisfaction with Penta’s performance and crowd reception. The company also reported strong early merchandise sales numbers for the newest RAW roster member.

Rey Fenix celebrates brother’s WWE arrival

Rey Fenix shared a heartfelt message on Instagram following Penta’s victory:

Congratulations carnal! Hands down MY FAVORITE FIGHTER! You deserve all the best for everything you’ve worked for, the FIGHTER #1. I am so proud to be your brother and watch you have achieved all your dreams, I LOVE YOU and SCARY.

PWInsider also clarified that Penta’s apparent knee issues during the match were purely theatrical, with the wrestler selling the effects of the contest rather than dealing with an actual injury.
