A former WWE name confirmed that she has been getting a lot of hate. This is because fans believe she is going to AEW.
Samantha Irvin was one of WWE’s best ring announcers in years. The way she introduced the WWE stars to the ring were entertaining. Irvin’s fun and passionate personality helped her win the fans over.
Samantha is also the fiance of Ricochet. The two of them have a very interesting love story that began with them connecting on X (fka Twitter) after Irvin first signed with WWE. After many online conversations, their relationship grew and they started dating. Currently, the couple is engaged.
Ricochet decided to leave the WWE in 2024 and he joined AEW. A few weeks later, Samantha also left the company which didn’t sit right with the fans and they blamed Ricochet. Despite Samantha confirming that she had planned to leave the company long before and it had nothing to do with her fiance, fans were still not happy to see her go.
Recently, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful posted a photo of Jojo Offerman performing the ring announcing duties before an AEW TV show. Samantha responded to this saying that she was about to kill it like never before. One fan mistook Jojo for Samantha and accused her of going to Tony Khan’s promotion. The former ring announcer then confirmed that she had been getting hate all night for “going to AEW”.

Samantha Irvin and her fiance Ricochet have been on the receiving end of a lot of hate from the fans for leaving the Stamford-based promotion. However, the former ring announcer has handled the criticism well and has often hit back at the fans in the right way. Hence, when the fans mistook Jojo Offerman for her even though she egged them on, Samantha had a field day with this case of mistaken identity.
Irvin took to social media to confirm that she had been having the best day on X due to this mistaken identity:
“I just said to Rico this was the best day ever on this app.”
