Popular WWE stable unveils new name following RAW

Last night’s chaotic episode of WWE RAW saw some interesting moments. This included the return of Drew McIntyre and a brutal backstage attack on Jey Uso.

One team that didn’t feature on the show was the Alpha Academy (Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri), but after the episode, the babyfaces were part of a backstage interview in which they showed off their new merchandise, which referred to the trio as “The Alpha Babes.”

This is something that the group has been referred to in the past as well, but now its members have official merchandise. This could be a hint of a new direction for Otis and Co. as a stable.

After all, the group hasn’t been seen as an academy since its former coach, Chad Gable, walked away and allowed the faction members to keep the name. Hence, it would make sense if they opted to change the stable’s name in a bid to expand their characters.

The Alpha Babes seem to be heading in a new direction on WWE RAW

Despite never fully resolving their issues with Chad Gable, it seems that the group has moved on from its former leader. Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri could now head in a new direction on RAW.

A new name could allow the babyfaces to move forward without Chad Gable’s label holding them back. While the trio hasn’t been used as much on RAW since their feud with the American Made ended, they could join forces with R-Truth and embark on a new journey.

R-Truth has become one of the most entertaining parts of RAW over the past few months, and if he works with the trio, then they could become the comic relief that’s desperately needed on WWE RAW. The stable will likely get more screen time when the show returns to its three-hour format.

It will be interesting to see what the WWE creative team has in store for Otis and Co.
