Proof that Cody Rhodes is seen as the biggest star in WWE ahead of Roman Reigns – Reports

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are two of WWE’s biggest stars. However, The American Nightmare’s latest accomplishment suggests he is the most popular star in the promotion.

In a Q&A on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp was asked who the top merchandise seller in WWE was. Sapp noted that it had been consistently Cody Rhodes for a while now, and other than rare instances, the Undisputed WWE Champion is almost always the top merchandise seller in the promotion.

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns teamed up last month at Bad Blood to defeat The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. The Rock showed up following the match and had a staredown with Rhodes and Reigns while on the entrance ramp.

Rhodes defeated Gunther earlier this month to capture the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship at the premium live event in Saudi Arabia. Solo Sikoa pinned Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel to earn a victory for The Bloodline in a six-man tag team match.

WWE legend claims Brock Lesnar might return to face Cody Rhodes

Wrestling veteran Gerald Brisco recently suggested that Brock Lesnar could return to the company to face Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns.

The Beast Incarnate has not appeared on WWE television since his loss to Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023. Rhodes and Lesnar shook hands in an unscripted moment after the match. Speaking on a Live Q&A with JBL and Brisco on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Backstage Pass, the Hall of Famer pitched the idea of Lesnar returning to battle either Reigns or Rhodes.

“I definitely think we haven’t… I hope we haven’t seen the last of Brock Lesnar, because who wants to see the last of Brock Lesnar? Who wants to see the last of an icon like that? Who wants to see the last of a physical specimen like Brock Lesnar? Who, in the ring, can do it all. For a guy his size, he can work with anybody, so I certainly hope we haven’t seen the last of him. And who would I like to see him work? Of course I want to see him work with Cody and Roman, I think it’s money with either one of those guys,” Gerald Brisco said. [From 34:55 to 35:31]

Kevin Owens attacked Cody Rhodes in the parking lot at Bad Blood. The Prizefighter hit Randy Orton with a Piledriver this past Friday night on WWE SmackDown, and The Viper was taken out of the arena in an ambulance.
