Randy Orton could face The Bloodline member in his WrestleMania 41 return

Randy Orton has been off television since November 2024 due to an injury caused by Kevin Owens. The WWE Royal Rumble 2025 could mark his return to the ring, beginning his journey toward WrestleMania 41.

On the November 9th edition of WWE SmackDown, a confrontation between Owens and Orton reached its peak when “KO” delivered a Package Piledriver, resulting in Orton’s extended absence.

With Owens attempting to help Solo Sikoa during the Tribal Combat against Roman Reigns on WWE RAW’s Netflix debut, speculation suggests the “Street Champion” might return the favor on February 1st, when “KO” faces Cody Rhodes in a Ladder Match. In this scenario, Orton would return to neutralize Sikoa, enabling Rhodes’ victory over the “Prizefighter.”

This intervention could set up a match between Randy Orton and the new leader of The Bloodline at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, following WWE’s trend of staging encounters between veterans and rising stars.

Revelation about Vince McMahon’s prohibition

Matt Riddle shared a backstage story from Crown Jewel 2021, revealing that Vince McMahon prevented Randy Orton from riding a camel during their entrance. At the time, both were RAW Tag Team Champions.

During an interview on the Developmentally Speaking podcast, Riddle recalled the moment:

When we were in Saudi Arabia, I rode the camel and Randy said, ‘I want to ride a camel.’ I supported it: ‘Yeah, Randy – put Randy on a camel.’ Then Vince said, ‘No.’ Randy asked, ‘Why not?’ And he responded, ‘Your character wouldn’t ride a camel’.

At that Crown Jewel, Riddle and Orton retained the RAW Tag Team Championship against AJ Styles and Omos. The duo would later lose the titles to Alpha Academy but regain them for their second and final reign.
