Reason for Becky Lynch’s return not happening on RAW on Netflix potentially revealed

Becky Lynch’s absence from WWE television hasn’t meant downtime for the superstar, as she’s been actively pursuing multiple entertainment projects. Seth Rollins revealed during a Chris Van Vliet interview that Lynch has been working on an undisclosed project since May 2024.

Rollins detailed his wife’s busy schedule:

My wife loves acting, she’s way better at it than I am. She’s got awesome stuff coming out. Obviously she’s announced her bit on Star Trek, I think that comes out in May next year. She’s got another secret thing that I’m not allowed to talk about that will be coming out sooner than that

The projects have required extensive travel, with Lynch spending significant time filming in Toronto for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy and on the East Coast for the unnamed production. She has also secured a role in Happy Gilmore 2.

Contract Status Update

Fightful.com reports that Lynch has signed a new WWE contract following her previous deal’s expiration in June 2024. While she wasn’t present for RAW’s Netflix premiere despite appearing in promotional materials, sources indicate she’s expected to factor into WrestleMania 41 plans.

The five-time Women’s World Champion’s WWE tenure dates back to her 2015 main roster debut. Following Rhea Ripley’s injury-induced absence, Lynch adjusted her planned break to assist the company, demonstrating her continued commitment to WWE despite her expanding acting portfolio.
