Following their eliminations from the match, Seth Rollins attacked Reigns at ringside, delivering two Stomps. Michael Cole announced that Reigns would be sidelined indefinitely due to injuries sustained during the attack.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rollins’ attack served as a narrative device to write Reigns off television. The report notes that this decision stems from creative considerations, as Reigns would have likely faced another loss in the Men’s Chamber match, and no suitable singles match alternatives were available for the 39-year-old competitor.
Reigns has not appeared on WWE programming since Rollins’ attack. During a recent promo, Rollins addressed the situation, stating he had injured Reigns and implying WWE was concealing this information, aligning with reports about Reigns’ absence from the upcoming premium live event.
