Bea Priestley is returning to STARDOM. The former WWE star, who wrestled as Blair Davenport, was announced as a participant in the upcoming 5STAR Grand Prix during a press conference on July 5.
The announcement came via a video message from Priestley, who made her intentions clear ahead of the tournament’s start on July 23.
“This is the Top Gaijin, Bea Priestley, and I’m entering myself into this year’s Stardom 5STAR Grand Prix. Now, win or lose, I’m aware of how tough these tournaments can be, but I’m going to show how every one of these joshi girls is shopai (weak/pathetic), and that Bea will forever be ichiban (number one/the best). See you soon, Japan.”
Priestley will compete in the Red Stars A Block, a group that also includes Saya Kamitani, Hanan, Mei Seira, Yuna Mizumori, Lady C, Waka Tsukiyama, and Azusa Inaba.
This marks a significant homecoming for Priestley, who had a highly successful tenure with STARDOM from 2017 to 2021. During that period, she captured the World of Stardom Championship, the Goddesses of Stardom Championship, and the Artist of Stardom Championship.
Her return to Japan follows her release from WWE in February 2025. Priestley later commented that she did not realize how unhappy she was with the company until she received the call, feeling a sense of relief upon her departure. After her 90-day non-compete clause expired, she wrestled her first post-WWE match on May 9 at NJPW Resurgence, where she defeated Viva Van.
