Rhea Ripley faces harsh criticism for match with Liv Morgan on RAW on Netflix, explains WWE veteran

Vince Russo addressed Rhea Ripley’s in-ring performance following her Women’s World Championship match on RAW’s Netflix debut. The former WWE writer pointed out specific aspects of the former Judgment Day member’s wrestling style during her victory over Liv Morgan.

During a discussion on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW, Russo offered his perspective on Ripley’s match performance. The wrestling veteran drew comparisons between Ripley and WWE Hall of Famer Chyna:

Man, I just gotta tell you, Chris, I just think they make Rhea Ripley sell way too much, man. I’m watching her, and I’m like, I can’t help but think of it, and I’m like, ‘Chyna would’ve never ever sold like that.’ And that’s why she was so over. You got a woman who is so much shorter than Rhea, just throwing her around that ring and tossing her around that ring. I just think they’re having her sell way too much.

The match itself proved to be a milestone moment for both competitors. Morgan showcased her technical prowess, executing Eddie Guerrero’s signature Three Amigos and Frog Splash sequence. Ripley ultimately secured the victory after delivering two consecutive Riptides.
