Roman Reigns won’t be in WWE WrestleMania 41 main event for unusual reason involving CM Punk, suggests WWE analyst

Sam Roberts recently outlined a potential scenario involving Roman Reigns and CM Punk’s upcoming storyline developments. Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts explored the possibility of Paul Heyman leveraging his position to influence the WrestleMania match card.

The analyst detailed his perspective on how the story could unfold:

I think that the more interesting thing would be Roman Reigns wins the Royal Rumble and Paul Heyman makes Roman Reigns give his WrestleMania match to CM Punk. And then you could do Roman Reigns vs. The Rock and CM Punk vs. whoever, Rollins, Cody, whatever you wanna do. And that way you still have a world title match open for John Cena if you wanted to do it that way.

Potential New Championship on Netflix Debut

As the Royal Rumble speculation builds, another significant development could emerge during WWE RAW’s Netflix debut. Reports suggest that Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa’s upcoming tribal combat match might feature an additional prize beyond leadership of the Bloodline.

According to Wrestle Votes:

Sources indicate WWE has discussed introducing a Tribal Chief Championship into the storyline between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, similar to the People’s Championship presented to The Rock at WrestleMania earlier this year.

This potential championship introduction aligns with WWE’s recent strategy of expanding their title portfolio, following the introduction of new women’s United States and Intercontinental Championships. The company has also demonstrated its willingness to utilize championship belts as merchandising opportunities, as evidenced by the recent revival of the “winged-eagle” belt at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
