Samantha Irvin reacts to Ricochet’s return to global promotion; the former WWE star attacked a top champion
Samantha Irvin has reacted to Ricochet returning to New Japan Pro-Wrestling. At the Power Struggle event, the former WWE Superstar attacked Zack Sabre Jr.
In the show’s main event, Sabre Jr. defeated Shingo Takagi to retain the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Post-match, he was confronted by Shota Umino, who expressed his interest in challenging for the World Championship. Moments later, the returning Ricochet attacked ZSJ.
On Instagram, Irvin reacted to NJPW’s post after Ricochet’s return, commenting with a crown emoji.

In 2013, New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced Ricochet as a participant in the 2013 Best of the Super Juniors tournament. In his debut, he teamed up with Kenny Omega to defeat the Suzuki-gun duo of Taichi and Taka Michinoku.
Fast forward to 2018, Ricochet signed with WWE where he won the Intercontinental Championship, United States Championship, and was the inaugural Speed Champion.
On the June 10, 2024, edition of Monday Night RAW, he was written off TV after an attack by Bron Breakker. He eventually departed the company on June 30 before signing with All Elite Wrestling.
Vince Russo believes Samantha Irvin will join Ricochet in AEW
Vince Russo has predicted Samantha Irvin will join her partner, Ricochet, in All Elite Wrestling. On October 21, 2024, the now-former RAW announcer departed WWE.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s The Wrestling Outlaws, Russo claimed that Irvin could manage Ricochet in AEW. He said:
“Bro, I think it’s all a work. She talks about wanting to be a manager, and she wanted to be a [General Manager]… bro, can you not see her managing Ricochet at AEW? I could see that in a heartbeat, that’s why I think this is one huge work.”
Since signing with AEW, Ricochet has been involved in the International Championship picture. At WrestleDream, he was unsuccessful in capturing the title in a three-way match involving former champion Will Ospreay and the new champion, Konosuke Takeshita.
