AEW launched into 2025 with several major returns, including Adam Copeland and FTR. Now, a fan-favorite could be on his way back after a short hiatus.
Rush hasn’t been since the November 16 episode of Collision. That night, he and The Beast Mortos reportedly generated backstage heat when they attacked Richard Holliday while AEW’s medical team was checking on him.
Mortos remained on television during the recently concluded Continental Classic Tournament, but his La Faccion Ingobernable stablemates have been absent for almost two months.
Rush took to X/Twitter today to tease a comeback. He posted a picture with his real-life brother and LFI factionmate Dralistico, potentially teasing the latter’s return as well.

Kenny Omega will return this week on AEW Dynamite
Of all the stars who were out of action last year, AEW fans have been anticipating Kenny Omega’s return the most. The Best Bout Machine missed the entirety of 2024 due to diverticulitis but made his in-ring return at NJPW’s collaborative Wrestle Dynasty event on January 5.
Omega competed in a brutal match against Gabe Kidd in the Tokyo Dome, and afterward, he made it clear that he was returning to All Elite Wrestling with a chip on his shoulder. The Jacksonville-based promotion wasted no time in advertising his return to Dynamite, which will happen this Wednesday in Clarksville, TN.
Kenny Omega has plenty of unfinished business in All Elite Wrestling, with the most pressing issue being the status of his former faction, The Elite. The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada booted Kenny from the group in March of last year, but things fell apart for them quickly after that.
Jon Moxley and his Death Riders are also running wild on weekly television, and many of the company’s stars have gotten mixed up in their rampage. It’s likely that Omega will become involved as well, but whether he can dethrone Mox again remains to be seen.
