Seth Rollins has asserted his instrumental role in the success of both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes within WWE. During an interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, The Visionary discussed his impact on their respective ascents to the top of the company.
Rollins, who debuted alongside Reigns in The Shield nearly a decade ago, explained his perspective:
I mean, look, Roman doesn’t get to where he’s at without me, I don’t think. I think he would tell you that as well. And certainly, Cody coming back, there’s a reason when he came back that I was the first person they put him with, so I don’t think he’s where he’s at if it’s not for me
The former World Heavyweight Champion emphasized his commitment to prioritizing industry growth over personal advancement, acknowledging his often unsung contributions to WWE’s overall success.
Following WWE’s Netflix debut, Paul Heyman made a compelling case for Roman Reigns’ acting achievements to receive television industry recognition:
Now we are on a platform that can just simply not be denied on a domestic nor global basis. There is no excuse anymore for Roman Reigns not to be nominated for and win an Emmy this coming year. It has to happen
Heyman highlighted Reigns’ consistent performance during the COVID era and his role in WWE’s recent success, including the Netflix partnership. According to Television Academy rules, programs must be broadcast via television network, cable, satellite, internet, or digital media platforms to qualify for Emmy consideration.
