Seth Rollins’ Future in WWE Revealed
Seth Rollins had one of the worst WrestleManias in WWE history as he went out on his shield in a heroic fashion to help bring Roman’s empire crashing down.
The Rock, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes had all the attention heading into WrestleMania 40 and while they undoubtedly stole the show, history will surely be kinder to Seth Rollins than the build-up to the event was.
LEIA MAIS:
Seth Rollins put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Drew McIntyre on WrestleMania Sunday but his focus was split as he looked to put an end to Roman Reigns in his own way.
Rollins was embroiled in Cody Rhodes’ issues with Roman Reigns and The Rock, teaming with The American Nightmare in a huge tag team match that headlined WrestleMania Saturday. During that match, Rollins sold that the knee injury that had kept him out of action for weeks had been aggravated, leaving him in a bad way.
The Rock pinned Cody Rhodes in that match but the damage was done to Rollins and he lost his title to Drew McIntyre one night later. However, in perhaps one of the finest acts of selflessness ever seen in the wrestling business, Rollins came to Rhodes’ aid again in his match with Reigns for the WWE Title, donning his old Shield gear to do it.
Seth Rollins failed to land a strike before being taken out with a spear and a chair shot from the man he once called his brother. But the job was done, those distractions gave Cody Rhodes enough time to take out Roman Reigns and bring his historic title reign crashing to an end.
Seth Rollins Taking Time Off To Rest His Knee
Rollins was not a part of the Raw after WrestleMania 40 and speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer explained that the star will be on hiatus:
Seth’s taking time off for injury, I don’t know about Becky [Lynch who was also absent from Raw]. Seth – I’ve heard not that long but it’s the knee thing, he’s just gotta rest the knee up for a little while.
Becky Lynch was also on the losing end at WrestleMania 40 as she failed to win the Women’s World Championship from Rhea Ripley.
