Seth Rollins takes a shot at CM Punk’s controversial AEW run ahead of WWE RAW’s debut on Netflix

Former WWE World Champion Seth Rollins has seemingly taken a shot at CM Punk‘s controversial run in AEW. Rollins and Punk have been feuding for weeks.

CM Punk and Seth Rollins are finally set to lock horns on the Netflix debut episode of RAW. The match’s foundation was laid immediately after Punk’s grand return to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023. Ahead of the big showdown, The Visionary and The Second City Saint have been trading insults on TV and in interviews.

After their promo battle on RAW last week, Seth Rollins seemingly criticized Punk’s controversial AEW run. During an interview with WWE’s Jackie Redmond, Rollins said Punk burnt a lot of bridges in the last four or five years, which could be a reference to his real-life issues with The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and a few other names in All Elite Wrestling.

“Let’s be honest, he hasn’t had a great last four or five years, it hasn’t been good for him. He has burned a lot of bridges, his reputation has been kind of smeared in specific areas,” Rollins said. [H/T: WrestleTalk]

Seth Rollins was a huge fan of CM Punk

In the same interview with Jackie Redmond, Seth Rollins made a shocking revelation that he used to be a big fan of CM Punk growing up. The Visionary also admitted that he viewed Punk as his “hero.”

“I was a huge fan of CM Punk. No doubt about it. I looked at him, and I saw someone that I wanted to be like. He had a ton of conviction. He was honest. He was kind of a disruptor. He didn’t fit the mold. And I saw a lot of myself in that and that type of personality, that cult of personality, if you will, that’s someone that you can become attracted to. And so I looked at him as a hero, as someone that I could follow in his footsteps.”

Fans are eager to find out who will prevail in the battle between The Second City Saint and The Visionary on RAW’s Netflix debut. The show will take place tonight in Inglewood, California.
