Shinsuke Nakamura surprisingly namedropped after AEW star's appearance at Wrestle Dynasty

Shinsuke Nakamura was surprisingly namedropped at Wrestle Dynasty after an AEW star made his appearance. This will no doubt make the fans a bit emotional.

Wrestle Dynasty is taking place at the Tokyo Dome and AEW star Katsuyori Shibata will be taking on Hiroshi Tanahashi in what is anticipated to be a great match. The two stars have a storied history dating back to the early 2000s and one of the reasons for that is WWE star Shinsuke Nakamura.

Nakamura, Tanahashi, and Shibata were called the Three Musketeers and they wreaked havoc in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. So, as Tanahashi was making his way to the ring, the commentators reminisced about the old times and named the WWE United States Champion.

Nakamura also had success with Tanahashi by his side as they won the IWGP Tag Team Championship once. Walking down the ramp to take on Shibata would no doubt have been emotional for Tanahashi who shows up in AEW from time to time.

It will be interesting to see if Shinsuke Nakamura will respond to his name being mentioned in one of the largest wrestling shows in Japan. If so, he might just acknowledge his two former tag team partners wrestling in a hotly contested match as well.
