Swerve Strickland sent out a message to Ricochet after the latter brutally attacked him on AEW Dynamite. This could become very ugly in the weeks ahead.
Ricochet and Strickland have been going at each other for the last few weeks, and things came to a standstill when the latter humiliated the former WWE star at Worlds End. After Ricochet lost the match against Okada, Strickland came out, taunted him, and compelled the fans to throw toilet paper at Ricochet.
However, on Dynamite, the former WWE star got his revenge after attacking Swerve Strickland with scissors and more. He was later sent packing by the Undisputed Kingdom. It looks like the battle lines have been drawn, and Strickland enforced them once again on social media.
On X/Twitter, he posted a picture of himself and Ricochet from Dynamite without a caption.
Talk about subliminal messaging. It will be interesting to see what is next for these two rivals.
Dustin Rhodes hails Swerve Strickland
Dustin Rhodes has been in the wrestling business for a long time and knows how to spot talent. He seems to have found one in Swerve Strickland.
Strickland had a great 2024 as he won the World Title and also had great matches against the likes of Hangman Adam Page and Bobby Lashley. Because of that, he firmly placed himself as a main event star, and rightly so.
Dustin Rhodes accepted that fact and took it to Twitter to applaud Strickland. He said he would love to be his coach one day.
“My fave in @aew besides my partner @sammyguevara is @swerveconfident. His rise has been one of the best ever in the biz. Love to be his coach,” Rhodes said.
Given how Ricochet attacked the former AEW World Champion on Dynamite, it should be no surprise if Swerve decides to take up the offer and make Dustin Rhodes his coach soon.
