The Rock criticized for crucial mistake during first WWE RAW on Netflix

The Rock’s appearance on WWE RAW’s Netflix premiere included several memorable moments, from his opening promo to sharing drinks with Cody Rhodes backstage. However, former WWE writer Vince Russo noticed an apparent oversight during The Great One’s departure from the Intuit Dome.

During Legion of RAW, Russo highlighted a continuity issue regarding The Rock’s exit:

It’s like ‘Wait a minute, The Rock’s leaving? Without his kids?’. Some of the stuff they do, I swear to God, they live in the bubble. Okay, he’s there with his kids, he gives them the title, and now he’s leaving without his kids.

The observation came after The Rock had presented his People’s Championship to his daughters in the front row earlier in the broadcast.

Netflix’s content guidelines evident in RAW broadcast

The streaming platform’s approach to content moderation became apparent during The Rock’s entrance. When greeting commentators Michael Cole and Pat McAfee, the audio briefly cut during Johnson’s enthusiastic exchange.

This censorship stands in contrast to Triple H’s earlier statements on The Pat McAfee Show:

Right now, just as an example of us being on Fox, if the crowd chants ‘Holy sh**,’ or something much worse, they just take that audio. Sometimes they take the picture and the audio off, and it’s just black screen… We won’t have those issues with Netflix. The ability to be live globally, the ability to have everything seen all at once everywhere, it’s a game-changing moment.
