For the past few months, Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa have been feuding over who was the true Tribal Chief. Solo proclaimed himself to be the Tribal Chief in Roman’s absence and added Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu to the Bloodline. However, Roman Reigns staked claim to that title as he never willingly gave the Ula Fala to Sikoa. Reigns and Solo Sikoa were set to compete in Tribal Combat during RAW‘s debut on Netflix. The match was not interference-free as Tama Tonga soon made his presence felt and took out Reigns.
The two men were involved in an intense match. However, The OTC was able to turn the tide and hit a powerbomb on Sikoa through a table. It looked like Reigns would get the pinfall when Tama Tonga showed up and pulled the referee out of the ring thereby saving his Tribal Chief. This momentary distraction also put Solo back in control of the match.
Tama Tonga has been dubbed by Michael Cole as someone dangerous and vicious. He was described as the “son of one of the most vicious men in professional wrestling.” Cole was obviously alluding to Haku, the legendary star who first wrestled in WWE from 1985 to 1992.
It will be interesting to see who will win the Tribal Combat and earn the right to call themselves the one true Tribal Chief.
