TKO CEO reviews Triple H’s work in WWE
TKO CEO Ari Emanuel spoke about WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque‘s leadership during a recent Bloomberg appearance. Emanuel highlighted Levesque’s achievements across WWE’s programming, including Monday Night RAW, SmackDown, Premium Live Events, and NXT.
The TKO executive also discussed Dana White’s role in UFC’s growth over three decades. Emanuel noted UFC’s global reach and emphasized the company’s plans to expand into additional sports ventures.
When addressing former WWE CEO Vince McMahon‘s departure, Emanuel acknowledged the importance of supporting visionary talents. “I don’t think it’s Fight Club,” began Emanuel. “I remember watching WWE — WWF, actually — when I was young. Paul [Levesque] has done an amazing job with the WWE, with ‘Raw,’ ‘SmackDown,’ PLEs, ‘NXT.’ And UFC is a sport that Dana [White] created over 30 years ago. Didn’t exist. [It was] His vision. You don’t have to explain the rules of the UFC to anybody in the world.”
“When you have guys that are visionaries, take whatever comes through on the cases with Vince McMahon who is no longer with the company, and now Paul, Triple H, is running that. They understand, kind of, the heartbeat. The skills I’ve maybe learned in the talent agency side have helped, but now we’re partners. So, now, that’s how I look at it. You just have to let the talent — and those guys are talent — do what they do and support them with all that they need,” said Emanuel.
McMahon stepped down from both TKO and WWE boards following allegations. Under the TKO structure, WWE continues to move forward with Levesque at the helm of creative direction.
Kurt Angle commends Triple H’s creative direction in WWE
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently shared his perspective on Triple H’s leadership style during an appearance on Notsam Wrestling. Angle, who competed against Triple H 74 times throughout his career, praised his former rival’s approach to running WWE’s creative process.
“I love the fact that Triple H is in charge. He was always the one that I knew could run the business and run it properly. He gets it. He gets the comedy. He gets the seriousness,” Angle said. The Olympic gold medalist also emphasized Triple H’s understanding of presenting WWE Superstars as world-class athletes.
Angle noted that Triple H brings a more measured approach compared to his predecessor, focusing on logical storyline progression while maintaining elements of entertainment that define WWE programming.
