TNA Announces Major Title Match for Slammiversary

The TNA World Tag Team Championship will be contested in a Four-Way Ladder Match at Slammiversary on July 20th. Matt Hardy made the official announcement during an appearance on Busted Open Radio, confirming The Hardys will challenge for the titles at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York.

The match that is gonna be going down that we’re gonna be part of is gonna be The Hardys wrestling against The Rascalz and also First Cla$$, as well as the champions, The Nemeths, as we finally get our return match for the Tag Team Titles and it is going to be in a Ladder match. Our specialty so it’s gonna be a big deal. It’s one you don’t wanna miss.

The championship bout will see the defending champions, The Nemeths (Nic and Ryan Nemeth), face The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy), The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz), and First Cla$$ (A.J. Francis and K.C. Navarro). The status of Navarro remains a point of interest, as he is currently dealing with a dislocated left knee.

Slammiversary, which celebrates the 23rd anniversary of the company, will also feature other significant championship matches. Trick Williams is set to defend the TNA World Championship against Joe Hendry, who is receiving his rematch for the title.

In another title contest, Moose will defend the TNA X-Division Championship against rising UK star Leon Slater. Slater secured his position as a challenger after pinning Moose in an eight-man tag team match during the “Against All Odds” event on June 6th.

According to a June 21st report from the ticket tracking service WrestleTix, 2,611 tickets have been distributed for the event, which has a current seating capacity of 4,229.
