TNA Reportedly Implements New Rules Amidst Company Changes

TNA Wrestling is reportedly implementing new backstage restrictions on in-ring actions, specifically targeting unauthorized slaps and the use of throat-slashing gestures, according to a report from Fightful Select. These new directives follow a previous ban on blading within the company.

The update from Fightful Select indicates that TNA Wrestling’s talent relations department issued a memo outlining the changes. As per the report, slaps are now prohibited unless specifically cleared beforehand by a company agent. Furthermore, the throat-slashing gesture is reportedly no longer allowed, with any instance of its use resulting in a $100 fine for the performer involved.

These new measures add to an existing prohibition on blading during matches in TNA Wrestling. That particular ban was instituted following a Dog Collar Match between Steve Maclin and Eric Young.

In response to these developments and apparent dissatisfaction concerning leaked memoranda about the restrictions, a meeting was reportedly held on Saturday. The report from Fightful Select also mentioned that additional talent-related meetings were taking place over this weekend to discuss the matters.
