“Tony Khan let her in,””Glad she is back in some capacity” – Fans erupt after former WWE star’s surprise appearance in AEW

A former WWE personality has just made a surprise appearance at an AEW event and worked the show in some capacity. Fans were surprised by this but ultimately were happy for their role in the event.

JoJo Offerman has been mostly affiliated with WWE. She began her career in 2013 as an in-ring announcer for several shows by the promotion. After two years with NXT, she returned to the main roster and continued with her role till 2018. She departed from the company in 2021 after her contract expired.

Earlier tonight, she was spotted as a surprise in-ring announcer in AEW for a dark match right before tonight’s edition of Collision. As of this writing, there have been no reports regarding what this means for her future, with this being her first time returning to being an announcer in years.

Fans were delighted to see her in a wrestling ring once more and were happy for her. Others continued to commend her for bouncing back after the passing of her real-life partner Bray Wyatt.

“This is great news for her. Glad she is back in some capacity,” a fan mentioned.

“Nice to see her back,” said another.

“Very happy for her,” another expressed.

Other fans wondered what this meant for her career and why she was brought in. One fan mentioned how Arkady Aura was working Collision, so she could have been gearing up for ROH. Another was surprised seeing as they expected her to remain affiliated with WWE.

“im glad she is feeling able to comeback in some form. what a warrior she is,” one commended her.

“Wait arkady is there Hmm Jojo roh?” a fan wondered.

“Tony Khan let her in,” one joked.

“Wait what? I’m surprised she’s not doing it for WWE,” one claimed.

A former WWE manager believed that she would be the one to replace Samantha Irvin

Two months ago, Samantha Irvin revealed that she was leaving WWE, thus vacating her role as the in-ring announcer of the promotion. Her replacement for the time being was the legendary Lilian Garcia.

During an episode of the Behind the Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Jonathan Coachman talked about how he felt this arrangement was only going to be temporary.

For him, they would need a permanent replacement for Irvin, seeing as Garcia just filled in the role for the time being. He suggested two names, as he felt that Kayla Braxton or JoJo could come in as her replacement.

“Then, Tommy, they would go out and get either, because Lilian is not gonna be back for an extended period of time; let’s stop that right now. It’s gonna be either Kayla Braxton, or here’s a blast from the past who was amazing, JoJo. So either JoJo or Kayla Braxton come back to be the full-time ring announcer for Monday Night RAW,” he said. This also ended up not being the case seeing as Lilian Garcia eventually stuck with being WWE RAW’s official in-ring announcer.
