Ever since AEW’s inception Tony Khan has signed numerous wrestlers from all over the world. Some of them are former WWE stars. Meanwhile, many emerged from popular companies such as Revolution Pro Wrestling, Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and more.
In 2023, English professional wrestler Will Ospreay signed a multi-year deal with AEW. His time in the company has been breathtaking so far, having locked horns with prominent names such as Konosuke Takeshita, MJF, Swerve Strickland, Konosuke Takeshita, Bryan Danielson, and more. Unsurprisingly, he has created magic with all of them.
The Aerial Assassin is a priceless asset for Tony Khan. He is not only one of the greatest in-ring talents in the modern day and age. He also has brilliant talking skills. In addition, he might be the most unselfish guy on the company’s roster.
Josh Alexander was grateful to AEW star Will Ospreay for putting him over
In November 2023, Will Ospreay locked horns with Josh Alexander on TNA IMPACT! in which the former won this showdown. The duo battled for the second time in January 2024 and this time around, Alexander was victorious.
Interestingly on the Kurt Angle Show, the former TNA World Champion revealed that he was grateful that the Aerial Assassin worked with him twice. He was also overjoyed that the AEW star put him over in their second match. They reportedly shared a warm embrace backstage:
“It’s a monumental deal to me. I told Will after the match, I hugged him and said, ‘Thank you for doing that for me, I very much appreciate it.’ You didn’t have to, and there are people that didn’t want him to, but he wanted to. I hugged him and said, ‘I hope I’m at a point in my career one day when I can do the same thing for somebody else.’ It feels good for me, personally, because it highlights me and springboards my career further, but it must feel good for him to pass something on like that to somebody that he knows isn’t going to waste it,” said Josh Alexander. At Words End, Ospreay locked horns with Kazuchika Okada in the Continental Classic 2024 Final. Unfortunately, he lost this match.
